Who I am

I'm a Data Scientist / AI Research Engineer at National Oilwell Varco (NOV) and a former Research Scientist in the Department of Imaging Physics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. My work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and computational medicine, with a focus on machine learning and deep learning methods that advance clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.

My research spans AI-driven biomarker discovery and precision medicine, swarm intelligence and metaheuristic optimization for feature selection, causal inference and subgroup identification for treatment effect estimation, computer vision for industrial and medical imaging, large language models and retrieval-augmented generation for decision support, and survival analysis and prognostic modeling in oncology.

I hold a PhD in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. My work has been published in journals including Nature Communications, The Lancet Digital Health, Patterns (Cell Press), and Cell Reports Medicine.
